At present, the main varieties of commercial coated sand in China

(1) General film-coated sand

It consists of quartz sand, thermoplastic phenolic resin, urotropine and calcium stearate without relevant additives.Suitable for the production of general cast iron parts.

(2) High strength and low hair gas-coated sand

It is a replacement product of ordinary coated sand, which is prepared by adding relevant additives and adopting new technology. Its strength is more than 30% higher than ordinary coated sand, and the gas volume is also significantly reduced. It is suitable for the production of complex precision cast iron parts.

(3) High-temperature film-coated sand

At high temperature with high strength and long heat resistance time characteristics, suitable for the production of automobile engine cylinder body, cylinder head, container corner and other complex thin-wall cast iron parts.

(4) Easy to disperse film coated sand

With good strength and excellent low-temperature burst performance, it is suitable for the production of non-ferrous metal castings.

(5) Other special requirements of film-coated sand

In order to meet the needs of different products, a series of special film sand was developed, such as: centrifugal casting film sand, hot cold film sand, wet film sand, anti-sticky sand, anti-pulse grain, anti-orange peel film sand, etc.

At the same time, the newly launched fast curing coated sand in 2004 can improve the curing speed by 30-70% on the basis of various properties, effectively improve the production efficiency, and save energy.
